Welcome to CorrQuant

Corrosion Detection and Quantification Platform

Upload an image, calibrate the surface using a reference coin, define the region of interest, and perform corrosion analysis.

Research Prototype (Beta)

CorrQuant is currently undergoing active validation and optimization. To ensure reliable performance during this testing phase, please compress images before uploading. High-resolution images captured directly from modern smartphones may require longer processing times or exceed the current server capacity.
How CorrQuant Works
CorrQuant combines image processing and quantitative corrosion analysis to identify and characterize corrosion features from digital photographs.

• Calibration using a reference coin to establish a physical scale.
• Perspective and illumination correction to improve measurement consistency.
• Region of Interest (ROI) selection to isolate the specimen surface.
• Multi-feature corrosion detection using color analysis, local variance, edge density, Laplacian response, and entropy-based texture descriptors.
• Candidate region generation through a voting-based segmentation strategy.
• Morphological, geometrical, and spatial distribution analysis.
• Corrosion intensity visualization through heatmaps and overlay maps.
